First Shift; Action/Video
[For a soldier Xavin can be quite graceful. Her heritage helped with that, her body always able to shift, and her training had made her quite skilled in always making her movements fluid when required. Being a Prince had also helped, teaching her to dance, to move with grace when it's required.
But her arrival in Luceti is anything but graceful. She tumbles through the branches, white dress whipping around her legs, blonde hair tangling in twigs. For some strange reason her back aches, a dull pain that her natural healing abilities should be fixing but aren't. When she finally stops there are scratches against pale, long legs though they soon begin to heal and fade. For anyone familiar with her this is the face of Karolina Dean, daughter of actors, and secretly an alien. But not a Skrull. Not Xavin, not her human face.
And as the journal records, Xavin slowly stands, and looks around. This is a world mostly unfamiliar to her. Not a Majesdanian military base. Not a world under Skrull control. If anything it looks Earth, like some of the places Karolina's shown her the photos off. But then the important fact leaks through and she raises her wrists, which had previously been bound with metal and now free.
She looks around with suspicion, searching for the rainbow glow of a Majesdanian. And as she does her focus begins the slip, sunlight blonde hair darkening and shortening, pale skin turning to a deep mocha brown and the skinniest shifting as well built but lean muscles take their place. She becomes who the body she once chose, and when her quick exploration shows that she is seemingly alone she lets herself stay that way. It had been so long since she had been able to take it after all.
Her exploration brings her upon the book, and picking it up she begins to study it, her first words slip out, Xavin voicing her thoughts to herself] Curious. And strange.
And not Majesdanian. Did the fools crash? I thought they were better pilots then that, but it would not be the first time they've made such a simple mistake...
[She wanders off, her words becoming more guttural, and not understandable. Not unless one speaks Skrullos.] I must be on my guard either way. It could easily be some sort of foul trap.
((ooc; for reference, Xavin appears like this for part of the video until she shifts into this form.))

Her shape changes, and -
...
the hell is that
No honestly, the new form only looks slightly familiar, like he'd seen it maybe once for a minute in his life. But it doesn't take long to realize who exactly it is, and he's so surprised that he doesn't even start hoping for the best, just blurts out:]
Xavin? [It has to be him - her. Who else would shift into Karolina, the girl he knows doesn't have those kind of shapeshifting abilities?]
And when she hears her name she looks up, spins around, trying to work out where it came from. It sounded so close, but her hearing is good. And now one is there. But she can recognise the voice, finally calling back, while still studying the forest]
Dorrek?
Oi, she's looking away. He tilts his head up as if she'll see him if he does that, a natural reaction, and speaks again.]
Yeah - Hey, the journal, look at the journal! I'm here!
She does look back down at the book, Skrull hearing still there despite the human shape to the ear. And oh look, a... video? of Dorrek. Well she's not stupid so]
A communication device then?
Hello Dorrek.
Hold on - wait... [Here he was about to go ask Billy to do his GPW thing. But with his powers gone...] Actually, could you hold up the journal? I might know where you are.

Hello? Are you all right, Miss?

But still, she watches the woman warily, ready for a fight at a second's notice] Hello. I'm quite fine, there is no cause for concern.
no subject
She decides to land a respectable distance away. The girl seemed fine, but Ororo couldn't help but worry.]
Are you sure? That was quite a height you fell from.
no subject
I have suffered worse falls from taller heights. I am quite sure I am fine.
May I ask who you are?
no subject
My name is Ororo Munroe. [A friendly smile; she means no harm!] And you? I see you only just arrived.

[Voice]
Teddy?
[Might as well.
Ask.]
[Voice]
The voice draws her attention to the book, Xavin frowning a little. Thankfully Teddy had at least explained that to her]
No.
[The name Teddy though... was familiar. It was Dorrek's human name, wasn't it... They had always met in battle, and in battle there was no time to learn such things, but she was fairly sure the witch had called him that]
You know Dorrek? [The next name is more tentative, slow and unusual] Teddy?
[Voice]
[...Err, awkward]
Uh, nevermind. Sorry.
[Voice]
I know Billy myself. He is Dorrek's beloved. And Dorrek is Teddy's true name.

[Voice]
But wow. How do you get "Teddy" from Dorrek?

Xavin? Hey, it's Billy- from the Young Avengers. Are you okay?
[voice]
I know how you are. You are Dorrek's beloved. The magic user.
I am fine. I may not be partial Kree- [There is a touch of 'ew gross' in the tone of the word] -but I still heal easily.
[voice]
Well, that's a title he could get used to. But maybe not in public. And this is the form he's more used to.]
Uh... right. Well, I'm glad. That'll help you out in this place.
Welcome to Luceti, I guess.
[voice]
Skrulls can be odd at times yes]
It is dangerous? The guide Dorrek gave me seemed to make it seem so at times, but it was vague in parts.
Have you been here long?
[voice]
I've been here for almost a year now.

He keeps in mind that Luceti takes all kinds, and Mystique never had to do with whatever a "Majesdanian", whatever that means. So he speaks uneasily with his usual German accent into the journal.]
Hey... I'm afraid there's no crash landing here. The effect of getting to this place is more like popping a vacuum cleaner at random into the corners of every universe, and then dropping us all in this dust pile.
[Voice]
She recognises the language a little, from her brief learning of all of Earth's languages until she had learnt Karolina spoke English. But it's something she's only heard over crackly intercepted radio transmissions. Never quite so clear]
I wasn't aware that anyone had such technology. But from what Dorrek has shared with me, this place is not normal.
They're are truly multiple universes then? Where do you come from?
[Voice]
This place is about as far from normal as you can get. As for me? I'm from Bayville. It's in America on Earth. I don't know how helpful that is, though; there seems to be a few Earths represented around here.
[Voice]
It is not the worse place I have seen. And yes, I know of America, though I am not familiar with this Bayville. I have found myself based primarily in Los Angeles, though I have previously visited New York. [A small pause] Alternate Earths... I wonder how likely it is that they are just many similar planets out there that resemble Earth. It isn't as difficult as Earth's scientists seem to think it is, but it still does seem unlikely.
